Mr. Jacobs' practice is both creative and practical in its approach to landscape architecture. His forty plus years experience in the green industry and training in both horticulture and landscape architecture afford a unique approach to his projects. Mr. Jacobs personally tags all plant material and lays out intricate plantings on his high profile projects. This practical, creative, and hands-on approach to landscape architecture is valued by many clients.

Experience:
Upon completion of his education in 1968, Mr. Jacobs joined the firm of Paul Friedberg & Partners in New York City. In 1972, he joined the firm of Coffey, Levine & Blumberg as a senior landscape architect. Mr. Jacobs relocated to Chicago in 1974 to take a position as senior landscape architect with C.F. Murphy Associates (now Murphy/Jahn Associates) and subsequently joined the firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. In 1976, Mr. Jacobs founded B. Jacobs & Associates. With the addition of partner Terry Warriner Ryan, he formed Jacobs/Ryan Associates in 1982.
